Special Production at Rayne Village Hall 4th February

An evenings performance titled 'Charity Begins at Home', in a fund raising venture in conjunction with the Village Hall Committee and All Saints Church, Rayne.

The evening was made up of two one act plays: Alas Poor Fred by James Saunders, saw a peaceful armchair conversation between Ernest and Ethel, chatting about how funny it must be to get cut in half, as Fred was.   More was revealed about the murder as the play progressed.   Shop for Charity, which won two awards at this year's Gimson Festival, took an amusing look at whether charity shops are really there to help the Developing World or are they just a sop to the consciences of the people who run them?

The plays were well received by a larger than expected audience.
